It takes 2.5 to 4 kgs of the oilseed to produce 1L of pure unadulterated, unblended WOOD’S Premium Cold Pressed Oil Made by refining dirt cheap imported crude oils. News reports also confirm refined oils being blended with even lower priced oils like palm oil. People in India hardly purchase palm oil but still, palm oil constitutes more than 40% of edible oil consumed in India. FSSAI allows oil blending but only in 2018 it has initiated a proposal* to make it mandatory to mention exact blend % on oil pack
